EASTLAKE, Ohio (May 28, 2026) -- Salve Regina University senior Shane Williams (Georgetown, Mass.) and sophomore Nolan Romanowski (Wynantskill, N.Y.) have been named to the 2026 ABCA/Rawlings All-America Second Team as an outfielder and Third Team as a pitcher, respectively.

Williams, the Player of the Year for Region 1 in D3baseball.com and ABCA/Rawlings, as well as the coaches' selection in the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC), set program records for runs scored (66), runs batted in (65), while equaling Ryan Holleran's single-season home run mark (15).

His 139 total bases (40 singles, 15 doubles, 3 triples, 15 home runs) exceed the previous program record by 22 (117 by Zack Smith in his senior year). Williams joins former Seahawk Matt D'Amato (2024) as recent All-American outfielder.

Second-year right-hander Romanowski, who led the nation in earned run average (0.57 ERA) as a freshman last year, established a new single-season victory record (12) for the Seahawks after his six and one-third inning effort against #9/#11 Endicott last weekend in the NCAA Super Regionals at Reynolds Field on the Salve Regina campus in Newport, Rhode Island. Through games Saturday, May 23, 2026, Romanowski ranks first in the country in innings pitched (96.2) while posting 69 strikeouts to just 14 walks for a 4.93 K/BB ratio (32nd in the nation).

Romanowski joins former Seahawks Brayden Clark (2025), Sean Mulligan (2024), and Dominic Perachi (2022), as recent All-American pitchers.

Romanowski and Williams, who captained the Seahawks along with classmates Kyle Carozza (Fairfield, Conn.), Sean Mulligan (Verona, N.J.), and graduate student Brady Smolinski (North Grafton, Mass.), led Salve Regina through its regular season ranked #4 nationally in ABCA Coaches' poll, and ended with a program-best .833 winning percentage (40-8) over a complete season.
QUOTING HEAD COACH ERIC CIRELLA ON WILLIAMS

"Shane put together one of the best statistical seasons in Salve baseball history. He was a legit power threat from foul pole to foul pole, and he could also swipe a bag or base hit bunt. He literally did it all. He also played a great right field and was a tremendous leader on and off the field. I could not be more proud of Shane."

QUOTING HEAD COACH ERIC CIRELLA ON ROMANOWSKI

"Nolan set a single season record for wins (with 12) after being thrust into a starter's role for this year. He ate up innings and won games, two things that are probably most important for a #1 starter to do for us. I think he learned a lot throughout the year and is extremely deserving of this accolade. Romo was as consistent as they come, I think that's what makes him so valuable. You literally know what you're going to get every Saturday."
