D3baseball.com All-America -- Salve Regina's Shane Williams

Senior outfielder selected to the Second Team

EASTLAKE, Ohio (May 28, 2026) -- Salve Regina University senior Shane Williams (Georgetown, Mass.) has been named to the 2026 D3baseball.com All-America Second Team as an outfielder, marking the fifth straight season the Seahawks have been recognized with a spot on the squad.

"Shane put together one of the best offensive seasons in the program's history, he deserves every award and accolade coming his way," says Seahawk head coach Eric Cirella '05. "I could not be happier to see all his hard work and dedication pay off."

Williams, the Player of the Year for Region 1 in D3baseball.com and ABCA/Rawlings (the latter announces All-America teams tonight from the Opening Ceremonies at the NCAA Division III National Championships at Classic Auto Group Park), as well as the coaches' selection in the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC), set program records for runs scored (66), runs batted in (65), while equaling Ryan Holleran's single-season home run mark (15).

His 139 total bases (40 singles, 15 doubles, 3 triples, 15 home runs) exceed the previous program record by 22 (117 by Zack Smith in his senior year).

Williams captained the Seahawks along with classmates Kyle Carozza (Fairfield, Conn.), Sean Mulligan (Verona, N.J.), and graduate student Brady Smolinski (North Grafton, Mass.). Salve Regina finished its regular season ranked #5 nationally in D3baseball.com poll, and ended with a program-best .833 winning percentage (40-8) over a complete season.
