Salve Regina took command of the game in the early going with four runs in the top of the second off Becker, Haley, Conte, and Di Sano RBIs and preserved that lead after retiring three straight from Gordon in the bottom half. The Seahawks then plated a single tally in the top of three off a Conte RBI and extended the lead further with six runs in the top of the next frame to establish an 11-0 advantage midway through the day's opener.
The Scots then broke their silence in the bottom half of the fourth when Brown ripped a two-RBI single to bring in Rinaldi and Potocki. Then after the Seahawks notched another run in the fifth when Di Sano scored off a Gordon error, the Scots got their bats going at the 11th hour for seven runs in the bottom of the final frame off RBIs from Walker, Harrington, Potocki, Rinaldi, and Pichardo to threaten the comeback. In the end, however, the Scots' rally fell short as Salve's Kevin Lambert (Jr./Fairfield, Conn.) closed out the game on the hill to secure the win.
Salve Regina once again got an early jump in game two when Matt Conroy (So./Philadelphia, Pa.) RBI doubled to score Dell'Anno and Ryan Kelly (Fr./Waldwick, N.J.) sac flied to left to score Conroy for the 2-0 lead in the top of the second inning.
