The Salve Regina University women's volleyball team defeated Nichols College 3-0 (25-8, 25-13, 25-18) in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) play for their seventh straight victory.

  1. Salve Regina senior Cassidy Trabilcy (Phoenix, Ariz) led the Seahawks attack with seven kills, five service aces, a block, and chipped in a match-high 12 digs.
  2. Salve Regina freshman Nicole Karabaich (Greenlawn, N.Y.) had a match-high nine kills.
  3. Salve Regina senior Paige Tully (Centerport, N.Y.) matched a career-high with seven kills while striking for a .583 swing percentage.

The Bison committed nearly as many errors (15) as they had kills (19), while the Seahawks struck for 38 kills to just nine errors.

Turning Point
The Bison got off to a good start in the second set, but an 11-1 run gave the Seahawks an eight point lead. When the Bison nudged closer, 19-13, the Seahawks closed the set on a 6-0 run to take a 2-0 lead in the match. The Bison would never lead in the third set.
