Series and Streaks
The Seahawks are 4-0 all-time versus the Bison and have never lost a set in those four matches.

Three Stars of the Match

  1. Salve Regina sophomore Nicole Karabaich (Greenlawn, N.Y.) had the matches only double-double with a match-high 11 kills while adding 14 digs.
  2. Salve Regina junior Andee Bender (Lebanon, Conn.) had seven kills, 13 digs, an ace and a block.
  3. Nichols sophomore Rachel Veilleux (Wrentham, Mass.) had a match-high 23 assists for the visitors.

Turning Point
The Seahawks easily took the first two sets, but trailed the entire third set until taking a 26-25 lead. The Bison opened the third with a 5-0 lead that the Seahawks were slowly able to chip away at. The Bison had set-point at 24-22, but back-to-back errors tied the set at 24-24. A kill from Megan Gardner (West Hartford, Conn.) gave Nichols a 25-24 lead, again with a chance to claim a set, however the Seahawks answered with kills from Madison Lee (Dover, Fla.) and Karabaich to take their first lead of the night, setting up Bender to notch her first service ace of the night to steal the third set and secure the sweep for the Seahawks.
