NEWPORT, R.I.-- Six athletes across Salve Regina University field hockey, women's ice hockey and women's lacrosse have been named to the 2025-26 CSC Academic All-District® At-Large team.
To be eligible student-athletes must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) and must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically. Eligible nominees must compete in 90 percent of the institution's games played OR must start in at least 66 percent of the institution's games.
Georgia Costello '26, field hockey forward, is a four year member of the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division III National Academic Squad. She was named to the 2025 NEWMAC Field Hockey First Team All-Conference and the 2025 NFHCA Division III Region I Second Team. In 2025 Costello was the team's second highest scorer with 15 goals and nine assists for 39 points. She was also named to the 2024 NEWMAC Second Team All-Conference.
Field hockey midfielder,
Bella Gannon '26, received her first NEWMAC All-Conference recognition as the Seahawks primary athlete to inject penalty corners in 2025. She was also a four year member of the NFHCA Division III National Academic Squad.
Angelina Regels '26, field hockey midfielder, is a duel sport athlete as a sprinter on the women's track and field team. Regels was also a four year member of the NFHCA Division III National Academic Squad. After the 2025 season Regels earned a spot on the prestigious NFHCA Scholars of Distinction team. The program recognizes junior and senior student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.9 through the season of competition. Following the 2025 season Regels was named to the NEWMAC Fall Sportsmanship Team.
Riley Esposito '26, earns a spot on the CSC Academic All-District® At-Large team for the second year in a row. In 2026 The women's ice hockey forward was honored with a Salve Regina Athletics Habershaw Stewardship Award, which is presented to individuals who have earned the respect of fellow athletes, coaches, and administration for superior athletics and for continually demonstrating those qualities associated with good sportsmanship.
Taylor Stirling '26, women's ice hockey defender, garnered the Salve Regina Athletics Distinguished Senior Scholar Award which is presented to the male and female student-athletes who have achieved the highest grade point average while participating in varsity athletics for four years. The recipient of this award is also honored with the University's Chris Kiernan Scholar-Athlete Award for academic excellence. Stirling graduated with a 3.975 cumulative GPA. This is Stirling's second year as a member of the CSC Academic All-District® At-Large team.
Women's lacrosse midfielder
Alix Madden '27 was recognized by Salve Regina Athletics for her service and involvement with the department in 2026. After the spring season Madden led the Seahawks in goals scored (48) and assists (15) for 63 total points. She picked up 24 ground balls and claimed 29 draw controls.
