Cross Country, Track and Field earn CSC Academic All-District® At-Large awards

NEWPORT, R.I.-- Salve Regina University has landed six athletes across women's cross country and women's track and field on 2025-26 CSC Academic All-District® At-Large teams.

To be eligible student-athletes must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) and must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically. Additionally cross country athletes must have seen a top-50 individual performance in 2025 NCAA regional competition. Track and Field athletes must have a top-50 regional ranking in single event. 

Christia Assi '28, both a member of the women's cross country and track and field teams completed the 2026 track and field season with a 48th ranking in the women's 3000 Steeplechase in DIII Mideast Region Outdoor. Assi finished in a time of 13:53.26 at the NEWMAC Championships. 

Isabella Hastings '27 is also a member of the women's cross country and track and field teams. On the cross country side Hastings finished 32nd at the NCAA Division III Mideast Regionals with a time of 22:55.7 for 6k. In the spring she picked up a DIII Mideast Region Outdoor 41st ranking in the women's 5000 meters at the Silfen Invitational with a finish of 18:04.57 and a school record.  

Sophia Molfetto '28 ranked 24th in DIII Mideast Region Outdoor in the women's long jump this season with a mark of 5.23m. Molfetto achieved this ranking after her performance at the Silfen Invitational with a second place finish. She ranks 33rd in triple jump with a mark of 32' 11.75" with a seventh place finish at the Trinity invitational. 

Kallie Saalfrank '27 completed her 2026 campaign with a 44th ranking in DIII Mideast Region Outdoor in the women's javelin with a throw of 26.17m. Saalfrank also picked up a 47th place ranking in the shot put with a distance of 9.65m.

Olivia Tacconi '27, who is a member of the women's soccer and track and field teams, holds a DIII Mideast Region Outdoor ranking in the women's 100m with a time of 12.18, a Salve Regina team record. She is 37th in the women's 200m with a finish of 26.16, another school record. Tacconi was the runner-up in the 100m at the NEWMAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships this season. She was also named to the 2026 NEWMAC Spring Sportsmanship Team. 

Anna Weygang '27, an active member of the women's cross country and track and field teams finished 33rd at the Cross Country NCAA Division III Mideast Regionals with a finish of 22:58.1 for 6k.
