Nate Strassberger - NEWMAC Face Off Specialist of the Week // Feb. 16-22

MARLBOROUGH, Mass. - The NEWMAC has announced its Athlete of the Week honorees for the week ending February 22, 2026, and Salve Regina University sophomore face off specialist Nate Strassberger (Milan, N.Y.)  has been selected as the Face Off Specialist of the Week for men's lacrosse.

Strassberger went 8 for 9, for a .889-win percentage at the X with 2 ground balls in a 14-3 win over Roger Williams University, in the 25th Rich Bernasconi Cup.  

"We are elated for Nate and the entire FO unit," said head men's lacrosse coach Patrick Cooney. "Mr. Strassberger has worked hard to improve his game and is always pushing himself and his teammates to get after it."

Salve Regina is currently 2-0, after defeating Plymouth State University 9-8 on February 14 and Roger Williams the following week.
