MARSHFIELD, Mass. -- (Monday, November 11, 2024)-- The NEHC named Salve Regina University women's ice hockey's very own
Riley Esposito as Player of the Week for November 4-10, 2024.
"Riley had a strong weekend this past home series against Salem State," noted head women's ice hockey coach
David Lun. "She scored some big goals and was involved with a lot of additional offense. Shes been playing at a high level since the start of the year, unfortunately, it didn't show on the score sheet until this past weekend. I think she and I hope that was the weekend to kick start a good season points wise going forward."
Last Friday and Saturday, the Seahawks competed in their first conference games of the season and their first NEHC games after transitioning from the CCC (now CNE). Esposito, a junior from Enfield, Connecticut, scored her first goal of the season and had two assists in Salve Regina's 4-0 shutout of Salem State University on November 8. The next day Esposito netted two goals against the Vikings when the Seahawks were once again victorious 3-1.
