BREAKDOWN:

The Babson College Beavers got out to a strong start against Salve Regina women's lacrosse by scoring 12 goals in the first quarter. They carried that momentum throughout the contest, entering halftime with a 16-0 lead.

Freshman midfielder Alix Madden stepped up to cover the Seahawks net after Seahawk goalie Grace Haesche suffered an injury 12:22 into the game. Haesche made 3 critical saves before exiting the game, leading the way for Madden to put a stop to six attempts.

The Seahawks were able to slow down the Beavers energy early in the third quarter with their first goal of the day. To begin the half Kayli Garcia received the ball at the top of the circle and charged forward, sending the ball behind Beavers' Morgan McGahan who was playing outside of the crease.

Even though the Beavers managed to find the back of the Seahawks net several more times before the clock ran out Salve Regina shot off the last goal of the day. Following a foul called on the Beavers, Stella McCormack successfully netted a free position goal to bring the final score to 22-2 with 16 seconds remaining in the day.
