MARSHFIELD, Mass. (Thursday, February 27, 2025)-- The NEHC has named freshman
Arvega Hovsepyan to the Second Team All-Conference and the All-Rookie Team, along with freshman
Teddie Hember to the All-Rookie Team.
Hovsepyan, a forward from Glendale, California, led the conference in points and assists with eight goals and 27 assists for 35 total points. Hovsepyan was also named Rookie of the Week and Player of the Week this season. Earlier in February he was titled a semifinalist for the 24th Joe Concannon Award by the Gridiron Club of Greater Boston.
"We are very proud of Arvega and all his accomplishments this year as a freshman," said head coach Zech Klann. "He has tremendous character both on and off the ice. He has been a blessing to Coach this year."
Joining Hovsepyan, Hember is a defensemen from Vännäs, Sweden. Hember appeared in 25 games this season, fired off 40 shots and provided 14 assists. He had a game high three assists in the Seahawks 7-1 victory over UMass Boston on November 10, 2024.
"We are extremely proud of Teddie and the growth that he has made this year," remarked Klann. "It is a great accomplishment, and we look forward to seeing Teddie continue to grow both on the ice and in the classroom."
